“El Puente – The Bridge”
Thank you for the wonderful support you have shown
El Puente – The Bridge!
“The Bridge provides educational assistance, food assistance, and microloans mainly to indigenous people in the southeastern part of Costa Rica. Our goal is to help people help themselves to self-sufficiency.”
THE EFFECT OF PAST DONATIONS to El Puente – The Bridge:
You have put more children in school than ever – children who would not have been able to go otherwise. You have enabled us to keep working toward restarting the microloan program. There is a 40-year-old man going to sixth grade, and a 19 year-old boy so eager to finish he’s doing 5th and 6th grade at the same time. Your support is very welcome!
“Four Septembers ago, we had a crazy idea: we asked our friends to give up their birthdays and ask for donations instead of gifts. We used 100% of the money raised to build water projects in developing countries. Every September since, we’ve done it again. In September 2010, we raised $1,091,138 through mycharity: water individual fundraising campaigns. With the help of East Lake Church, supporters at charity: ball, and other incredible donors, we reached our fundraising goal of $1.7 million to provide every Bayaka in Central African Republic with access to clean water.”
$20 can give one person clean, safe drinking water! A water project costs an average of $5,000 and can serve a community of 250 people. Donate to Charity Water. 100% will be used for direct project costs.
Need a last-minute gift? Donate in someone’s name. 100% of your donation is tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
