Whole Foods Market leading the way. May 16th, 2012 – We received a huge applause and the presentation of another check from the Whole Foods Market Loan Program at a presentation for the Grand Opening of Whole Foods Market in Laguna Hills. We will be featured on their website and we also got recognition for our participation in the VSAT Program which helps veterans coming back from war to start their own businesses. We are also working with Whole Foods Market to implement more instruction and mentoring for these vets to help them along the way of this very difficult journey of bringing products to market and keeping them on the shelf.

“Cocoa from dark chocolate lowers risk from colon cancer – Researchers from the Science and Technology Institute of Food and Nutrition in Spain have published the result of a study in the journal Molecular Nutrition & Food Research detailing the potent anti-carcinogenic effect of the natural chocolate compound, cocoa. Scientists determined for the first time that regular consumption of cocoa negates the inflammatory effect of digestive oxidative stress that results in intestinal complaints and is a precursor to the genesis of colon cancer. Cocoa is now considered a superfood as it has been shown to improve blood lipids and help prevent cardiovascular disease in past research. So why has the FDA not acted?
“The Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act requires the FDA to prevent consumer deception by clarifying that a food label is misleading if it omits significant, “material” information. In 1992 however, the FDA issued a policy statement that defined “material” by the ability to be sensed by taste, smell, or other senses. The FDA determined that GE Foods were “substantially equivalent” to conventionally produced foods, so there was no material difference – and no labeling was required. January 17-19, 2010 – Righteously Raw Bars by Earth Source Organics were exhibited at The Winter Fancy Food Show at The Moscone Center in San Francisco. The show is produced by the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade.
This was the first time Earth Source Organics introduced Righteously Raw Bars at a gourmet, specialty trade show.. “The bars have always been a hit with any audience”, says Audrey Darrow, Earth Source President and CEO. The four bars featured at the show will be Maca, Goji, Caramel and Acai.
